It has been awhile since I have been on my website! I had a super busy Dec. with the POD Show in Bismarck and many online orders. My Mom, who taught me
how to make good kuchen, died Dec. 1st. We were prepared as she had been in failing health, but when it happens, it is quite a shock. Her BD was Dec. 18th
and she would have been 91 years old. I know she would have never wanted to live in a NH for 10 years the way she did, but she was so well taken care of at
Borg Home in Mountain and later at Sunset Home in Grafton. I used to stop when going thru Grafton from Grand Forks to visit a bit, so it now it’s a bit
difficult to drive thru Grafton knowing I will never see her alive again.
January has been really busy too with store orders. I am thankful for those.
I want to refresh my kuchen flavors, so have been trying new flavors. You would think 62 of them are enough, but I just enjoy trying different fruits and ideas. I have come up with Blackberry Kuchen, now that Sams Club carrys the Blackberrys. I was also able to try Honeyberrys and I am so impressed with this fruit it isn’t funny. The kuchen taste like I poured honey in the custard, which I could never do because it would be one big mess. The Honeyberrys are purple and add a lot
of color and make the kuchen taste like honey. Very very good! I won’t be able to get the berrys until late summer. Another new flavor is Aronia (Black Chokeberry)
not Chokecherry as I thought of at first, but Chokeberry. Again, purple in color and just great tasting. Even Ken, my husband likes this new flavor. I don’t usually come up with 3 wonderful flavors like this, but I got lucky in Jan. Maybe my Mom has been helping from Heaven? I will have these 3 flavors at the POD Shows starting in Sept for the Dickinson Show. I will have the Blackberry available as of now. If you want to order kuchen, you can go on the secure site at ND Mall which will bring ND products up on your screen and you can find me on there under kuchen, you can go to Etsy and order, you can e mail me or use the order blank on
my website-we will have to call you for payment information. Happy Winter!
